Step 2: Print your Customized Measuring Form

If you wish, you might like to use our measuring form:

  1. on the measuring form, select the shapes you need
  2. print the form showing your choices
  3. proceed to step 3 and manually fill out the required dimensions

If you need to order more than 1 of a particular shape, i.e. two L-shapes, please fill out two different drawings as the sizes will vary. Please use the order form to place the order.

Step 3: Choose your Corners and Ends

While standard square corners have a recommended minimum 3/4" (open end) or 1/4" overhang (at appliance), rounded or mitered corners may need additional overhang space. Go to Corners & ends to make your selections and calculate your overhangs.

corners (23K) On a bar top, for instance, choosing a typical 3" sweep (rounded corner) means that you need to add 3" or more to your overall length.
A #2 corner on an open end instead of a standard square corner will require a minimum 2" overhang.
Length + needed or recommended overhang = overall length

Step 4: Measure your Shapes

IMPORTANT: Please measure to nearest 1/8"

  1. Measure LENGTH at rear of top or along wall from end to end or corner to corner.
  2. Include the OVERHANGS of your existing tops in your overall measurements.
  3. If you're choosing a rounded corner, please refer to Step 3.

When choosing a profile with backsplash for your new tops, make sure the new height will not interfere with tiles, window sills, outlets, mirrors, wallpaper, switches, etc.

Do You Need Build-Up?

If the top of the cabinet doors or drawers are level with or close to the top of the cabinet, you'll need build-up.
